In December 1916 both ships were mobilized to the Baltic Fleet and renamed to "Elena" and "Nina" accordingly and were used for fueling of new oil torpedo-boat destroyers of "Novik" kind.

In 1922 from the Baltic Fleet both ships were transferred to North-Western enclosing. "Sheksna" in 1921 was renamed to "V.S. Borisov". The ships worked reliably in the North-Western water basin till the Great Patriotic War. In the summer 1943 they were written off and scrapped.
