Historical information
Church of the Sermon on the Mount is situated on the peak of Mount of Beatitudes, from which there is a magnificent view of the Sea of Galilee and its surrounding Galilean landscapes. The church’s premises was built by the project of a very famous architect Antonio Barluzzi in 1937.
The covered passageway with arcades side with the round rotunda, and the rotunda inside transfers into a form of an octagon — according the number of beatitudes, pronounced by Christ.
